Photography and film that shows what it feels like to be there.

I work with tourism businesses, destinations, outdoor organisations and community projects across Scotland, creating photography and film for campaigns, websites, publications and individual projects.

My work is rooted in place. I look beyond the obvious views to the landscape, people, details, weather and everyday moments that give somewhere its character.

Whether I'm photographing an island, a place to stay, an outdoor experience or a community project, the aim is to create work that gives people a genuine sense of being there.

Photography

I create photography for a wide range of projects across Scotland, including:

Destination and tourism campaigns
Accommodation and hospitality
Outdoor and lifestyle brands
Heritage and community projects
Editorial and website photography
Events and experiences

Every commission is different. We can build the shoot around a particular campaign, location, experience or story, with a clear brief agreed beforehand.

Film

Alongside still photography, I create short films and video for websites, campaigns and digital channels.

This can be commissioned as part of a photography project or as a standalone piece, from a short atmospheric film of a place or experience to a collection of footage for use across your digital channels.

An understanding of where the work will be used

My background in digital marketing and content strategy means I bring more than a photographer's eye to a commission.

I think about how the work needs to function as well as how it looks: where it will appear, who needs to see it and what you need it to communicate. That understanding can also help at the planning stage, making sure we use the time on location well and come away with the right material for the project.

I've worked with organisations including LNER, NorthLink Ferries, Visit Small Isles and Ionad Hiort | St Kilda Centre, alongside tourism businesses, accommodation providers and community organisations across Scotland.
